jessie and I saw the Shins play live last weekend at the Orpheum here in LA. it was my first time seeing them - since we missed their opener for Belle & Sebastian and the LA Phil at the Hollywood Bowl due to crippling traffic - and they were really, really good. Viva Voce opened for them and guest starred on a few songs (Anita Robinson’s been singing backup on some of the songs on Wincing The Night Away, as well as on their latest tour), and I was really impressed with their set as well.

we were able to take some shakycam video of the concert using our camera, which we posted on YouTube. here’s the really cool downtempo version of “Caring Is Creepy” that they played at the concert:

my new wife jessie and one of our very talented wedding photographers, Trista Callender, have been hard at work Photoshopping separating, cropping, and sexifying the very best photos from the pool of over 2000 that were taken at the wedding.  we’re now happy to be able to deliver the goods to you right here on the interweb.  click here to see our wedding photos!
